Christi Cuevas - OT/NDT
Christi explains why she chose this occupation: "When I was a young
teenager, my grandmother had a stroke, I cared for her and helped her
around the house. I always knew I wanted to do something in the medical
field, making sure I had time for a family."
Christi has been working in OT for over 9 years. Christi has a
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of South
Alabama. She has been trained in NDT (Neuro Developmental Treatment) as
well as Constraint Induced Treatment.
Christi "hopes to one day specialize in neurological treatment -
inpatient and outpatient. I feel that our community has a need for a strong
neurologically based outpatient occupational therapy clinic."

Charlye Dunaway - COTA LVNC
"I chose this career because it is mentally, emotionally and physically
rewarding."
Charlye had originally acquired a BS in Hearing and Speech Science from
the University of South Alabama. In August 2004, she graduated from
Pearl River Community College with an Associate degree in Occupational
Therapy (COTA/L). She is looking forward to obtaining a Master's degree
in Occupational Therapy.
Charlye finds it interesting "how much a persons body can endure and
recover."

Tammie Ladner - ST Cert
"I enjoy working with and encouraging
people to meet their maximum potential in communication and swallowing."
Tammie has a Masters degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is certified in Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation(DPNS) and
Vital Stimulation, both are used to stimulate safe effective swallows. Tammie also
holds certification in treating and designing maintenance programs for
dementia patients to limit rate of decline and maintain communication
skills.
Tammie is "constantly learning new and innovative techniques in treating patients."

Scott Keller - MSOT/R,L LPTA
"I have been working in the health care career field for 11 years as of
June 2007. I wanted a career helping people by rehabilitation. This
interested me after receiving therapy myself for a hand injury."
In 2005, Scott achieved a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy
with a license as an Occupational Therapist/Registered with the NBCOT.
Scott has an associates degree as an LPTA and he passed the Mississippi
state board, holding a license as an LPTA.
Scott is fascinated by the fact that, "sometimes the smallest things you
do for someone can have a great impact on their rehabilitation or even
on their life."

Patti Lambert MS, CCC-SLP
"I chose speech/language therapy due to the variety of settings and ages I could assist."
Patti has been trained in the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing
procedures and is certified as an administrator of the History of Nebraska Test of
Learning Aptitude. Patti holds a Masters in speech therapy and was trained
at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Patti is "looking forward to expanding her contract to nursing homes in the area."
